Our latest project

Before and After

It is almost a year that we have been in our house. There has been lots of wallpaper taken off and paint put on. With the help of our family and we have really made a big difference in the way our house now looks. It is fun to sit back and enjoy the changes, and of course, to dream about all the changes yet to come.

This is how our living room looks now.(the before is below) We painted the brass on the fireplace and changed the window coverings some. It also helped to get rid of the floral couch.

This is our bedroom now. We scraped out the old gross carpet from our room and Nolan's and had the original hardwood floors finished. We painted all of the woodwork in both rooms also. Mom took care of the finishing touches by making the curtains and bedspread.

The kitchen is our most recent tackle. We took off wallpaper and painted right away. But just this past month we have painted the cabinets, put in new flooring which we also put in the dining room(no more carpet under the table!), we put in new countertops, and a backsplash.

Some pictures from this past holiday Season

It's been a while!

I thought I would just put some fun pictures on so everyone could see what we have been up to with our 2 year old.

Alaska 2010...Nice-edahhhh!!!

We just got from a beautiful trip to Alaska. We went with Tim and Vicky, Shawnna and Casey and Ben to Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan and Victoria(British Columbia).

We started off in Seattle where we got to take a quick trip to the fish market. We watched them toss some fish and we ate at the Athenian. The seats where Shawnna and Casey are sitting is where Tom Hanks and Rob Reiner sat in Sleepless in Seattle.

This was in Tracy Arm Fjord. We cruised through the fjord up to see Sawyer glacier.

Here we are just getting to Victoria in British Columbia.

Salmon fishing in Ketchikan. We caught a few different types of Salmon. Casey caught 2 halibut.


This is the fish that the 7 of us caught. Can't wait to eat some of it!



Victoria, British Columbia- Ben got to have a drink in the bar with all of us

This is near Skagway- We rented a van and drove 70 miles to Canada and the Yukon. It was a very scenic drive. We had lots of stops to take in the views. Pictures really don't do it justice.

In Juneau we took the Mount Roberts tram to the top of the mountain.

We went zip lining in Juneau. We rode a boat over to an island where we took a big truck up the mountain and then a little trek the rest of the way to the top where we hooked up to the zip line and went from tree to tree hundreds of feet above the ground through an old gold mine. This is a must if you ever get the chance.
